WHAT TO DO: 1. Lay out some newspaper or a plastic mat to protect your work space 2. If you are using paint, spread a thin layer onto a plate 3. Press the Lego block into the stamp pad or paint 4. Press the Lego block onto the paper Repeat the process and see what kinds of designs you can make with the different blocks!
STEAM THINGS UP: Try making patterns with your Lego blocks to make: - a geometric shape - a building - a vehicle - your name Once your ink or paint has dried, add more colour to your print with markers For a video tutorial on how to do this craft, and LOTS more ideas, go to: www.kawarthalakeslibrary/src
Pay attention to how each robot in the story is made by putting simple shapes together. Try making a robot of your own using your Lego blocks! Learn about printmaking through explora Primary a resource in the Kids Digital Library section of the Library website
