W40. Key characteristics
The Product
W40 is a mobile partition wall with a total thickness of 50 mm available in the following versions: Single glazed panel flush to exterior (offset) Single glazed central panel The distinguishing trait of W40, which avails of and develops several characteristic traits of W80, lies in the possibility of creating a vibrant surface with unique material, chromatic and three-dimensional effects. In addition, the sliding door slides inside the profile of the partition. These innovative solutions go hand-in-hand with the following characteristics - Highly refined aesthetic design • A hi-tech core that has led to the filing of 4 industrial patents; • Extreme ease of assembly and disassembly for subsequent reconfigurations; • Superb structural and acoustic performance.

W40. Technical and functional characteristics
The  Product
The W40 partition wall system consists of extruded aluminium profiles with a telescopic insert and adjustment systememploying an aluminium foot which makes it possible to compensate with ease forany differences in the floor or ceiling level. The glazed panels have an aluminium profile fixed to the top and bottom with double-sided structural adhesive. The specially shaped profile makes it possible for the panel to be attached with a Snap-on system comprising two separate co-extrudedi plastic parts.

RECESSED FLOOR PROFILE
Floor profiles are available in two heights (H 35 mm and h. 20 mm), as for the W80 partition. The h. 35 mm profile makes it possible to adjust the partition wall by 25 mm (+/- 12.5 mm) and is suitable for floors with considerable unevenness, while the H. 20 mm profile makes it possible to adjust the partition wall by10 mm (+/-5 mm.), making it suitable for floors with slight unevenness.
Profile for offset and central panels
The partition can accommodate offset panels on the right, left or centre, with a combination of the latter also possible, creating uniquely vibrant and threedimensional effects across the glazed surface.
The recessed profile
The profile, both for central and offset panels, can also be recessed in the floor. This profile guarantees an optimal aesthetic impact and is recommended above all for carpeted floors www.tecnospa.com Â

CENTRAL PROFILE
Upper profile
H 35 mm. This profile, available in both central and offset versions, makes it possible to adjust the partition height by +/- 12.5 mm and allows the sliding door to slide inside, in addition to offering the possibility of housing venetian or roller blinds, or screens, also within the profile. For large sites, in addition to the standard channel, there is also the possibility of a special telescopic channel – deflection head - which responds to the deflection requirements typically associated with some buildings (also deflections of +/- 50 mm for a total difference in height of 100 mm).
The recessed profile The profile, both for central and offset panels, can also be recessed in the ceiling thanks to the special system for attaching the glass panels.
Installation The ceiling or false ceiling must be structurally suitable for supporting the partition wall system. Suitable ceilings are: cement slab, plasterboard false ceiling, other suspended false ceilings with vertical connections, metal false ceilings with a rigid bandraster, plasterboard partitions with internal wood or metal stiffeners.

Integrating W40 and W80
The W40 partition can be fully integrated with the W80 partition system, enabling the use of single and double glazed and blank panels in seamless solutions that respond to a whole range of customer requirements. The system includes T-shaped joints, with both central and offset panels, W40/W80 double glazed panels and T-shaped joints for W40/W80 blank panels.

Hinged Door
Thickness 50 mm Tempered single glazed panel (10 mm) flush with the door exterior The doors have a total thickness of 50 mm flush with the wall and come with a sound insulation guillotine as standard The patented hinges, in die-cast zamak, are completely concealed and feature a micrometric adjustment system. The door frame is in extruded aluminium with a door striker seal that can also be used for sliding doors; the lever handle has a Euro profile cylinder lock. An upper concealed integrated door lock is available on request. The doors can also be fitted with American locks. The system also offers hinged doors with polished edge glass and solid doors.

Internal Sliding
Tempered glass (10 mm) The door is produced with a perimetral frame in extruded aluminium, complete with sound insulation guillotine. The door element slides inside the upper and lower channel of the partition and, on request, is fitted with a damper system for soft opening and closing. The door frame is in extruded aluminium with a door striker seal that can also be used for hinged doors. "Hook" lock with Euro profile cylinder lock. American locks can also be used. Integrated handle. Patented "drop down" system for closing the lower sliding compartment.

If mobility is a sign of the third millennium, then goods, services and infrastructures useful to passengers become essential. Public seating falls into this category. Tecno has been developing designs for high traffic areas for many years. The result of this research is the RS Railway System, a product listed in our catalogue of seatin made by Tecno for the French Railways and endorsed by SNCF Agence des Gares - Jean-Marie Duthilleul. RS’s distinctive feature is its segmentation for different uses. Therefore, versatility is one of the main reasons for its popularity, and consists in the capacity of its st accommodate different type of seats and/or accessories. There are three basic configurations: the modular bench with a seat back, the modular bench without a seat back, both types with or without armrests, and with a base or a mobile base; and the modular perch - a type of fixed seating suited for short waits. The frames of the RS system are made in aluminium painted metallic grey or client’s colour specification, aluminium and wood, wood, leather. Some options are de outdoors use. A selection of accessories enhances the system’s performance: different shapes of armrests, tables and/or ledges in different materials, including pain

The W40 partition utilises materials which are totally eco-sustainable and recyclable: • Aluminium • Glass • Wood materials used are certified FSC and/or PEFC • Faced panels in colours MM0A and MM1F consist of panels certified as “100% recycled wood”
The product is designed to be completely disassembled and separated into single-material components at the end of its life cycle, so that each component can be delivered to the dedicated recycling point. The packaging used is also recyclable or reusable after delivery. To ensure unwavering quality across products and the entire manufacturing system, Tecno Spa has had its Quality Management System certified to UNI EN ISO 9001 and its Environmental Management System certified to UNI EN ISO 14001.
