How I Wrote my Informational Essay By: Terry Qi
Step One: I first wrote my BIG question and Thesis
My BIG question: What makes the Trojan War so important that people still remember it today?
My Thesis: Although there were many massive wars that took place in ancient times, the Trojan War is the most interesting and fascinating.
Step Two: I then made a plan for the three sub-topics
I used pieces of paper to plan our essays. We wrote our Theses and research information in the plan. Our plan contained five parts: Introduction, Body paragraph #1, Body paragraph #2, Body paragraph #3, Conclusion.
Here is my plan for the first body paragraph.
Step Three: After that, I looked up information about my topic in the internet and books. I organized my information and notes using the “Boxes and Bullets organization.
