JERÓNIMO’S NEW MENUS

The popular Mexican restaurant, Jerónimo, located in The Madrid EDITION hotel at Plaza de las Descalzas in the capital, recently presented its enticing new bar and executive menus. Lexus At The Goyas

Lexus was the official vehicle for the recent edition of the Goya Awards Gala, which was held at the Andalucía Auditorium in Sevilla. The new Lexus RX was presented in front of the venue and the brand deployed a fleet of 25 vehicles, including the new RX 500h, RX 450h+ and the RX 350h, to transport the stars from the big screen to the red carpet.

Uber Partners Up With The Teatro Real

Swimming To Save The Antarctic

Calling on world leaders to act to ensure the conservation of the Antarctic and the Southern Ocean, Barbara Hernández entered Antarctic waters at average temperatures of only 2.2ºC, without a wetsuit or protective grease. The Chileanborn athlete completed a record-breaking 45-minute, 50-second swim, covering a distance of 2.5 kilometres.

You would think that being born in Texas, to a Swedish oil and gas engineer, growing up first in the Unites States and then Norway before settling in Marbella would be enough of a story for a seven-year-old, but when Winston ventured up into his home’s attic one evening, it would open up a whole new world of adventure.

“I didn’t really know what I was looking for or what to expect, says Winston, now nine. “I guess it was just curiosity, but when I made it into the attic I was a little scared, until I spotted a whole area full of motor racing trophies and equipment.” The paraphernalia in question belonged to his father and granddad, who had both been keen bike racers in their day, and had the titles to show for it.

“I grew up in a motor racing family,” says dad Robert.

“I guess it’s in the blood, because my dad competed in motorbike championships, as did I, becoming a professional motocross racer before multiple injuries, broken bones and a mounting series of operations caused him to call it a day in his mid-twenties.”

The fact that young Winston was destined to follow in his family’s motor racing footsteps was by no means a foregone conclusion, as his father actively sought to prevent it by hiding it from his two young sons. “We kept all the memorabilia purposely hidden because we didn’t want Winston and his younger brother to be tempted to get hooked as we had done, but it was to no avail.” ›
