MARBELLA FASHION SHOW

Last month, the Marbella Fashion Show (MFS) took place at the Amàre Beach Hotel Marbella. The event featured clothing by 18 designers as well as the presentation of the MFS Prize 2021, awarded to new talents. ESTEPONA FASHION WEEK

One of the most hotly-awaited events of the local fashion scene, Estepona Fashion Week, took place in a dreamlike setting – the Estepona Orchidarium. Some 17 local shops took part in the show, presenting their latest fashion, beauty, and accessory collections. ESTRELLA DAMM ANDALUCÍA MASTERS

The Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters 2021 event, a European Tour tournament, will be taking place between October 14 and 17 at the Real Club Valderrama. The seventh edition of the Spanish tournament, which was recently declared an Event of Exceptional Public Interest by the Spanish government, offers the highest prize money on the European Tour this season. FIRST EDITION OF THE AEDAS MATCH FORUM

AEDAS Homes, a leading developer in Spain, recently held the first edition of the AEDAS Match Forum, which brought together more than 200 international sales agents in La Zagaleta (Benahavís). SIERRA BERMEJA FIRES: WWF RESPONDS

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has demanded radical change to stop forest fires such as the recent Sierra Bermeja tragedy (which took the life of a firefighter). Climate change is accelerating and intensifying wildfires more rapidly than expected and we aren’t currently prepared to deal with their effects. The Sierra Bermeja fires forced 3,000 people from six municipalities to leave their homes or confine themselves within their dwellings. The WWF recommends various measures – including restoring affected areas, fostering the natural regeneration of local flora, and adapting the land so that future fires are contained. i www.wwf.es

DEBRA CHARITY EVENT AT ALOHA GOLF

Butterfly skin charity, DEBRA, recently held a fundraising golf event at Aloha Golf Club, featuring golf and prizes. The charity has been busy indeed, having also celebrated the 18th annual Butterfly Children Gala at Aloha Golf Club. Specsavers is launching the ‘Name a Guide Dog Puppy Competition’ to support the ONCE Foundation for Guide Dogs (FOPG). MY SECRET GARDEN EXHIBITION IN PUERTO BANÚS

Art lovers take note – you have until January 16, 2022 to view the exhibition My Secret Garden by Belgian artist, Arne Quinze. Comprising six sculptures (in acrylic over aluminium), the collection of works pays homage to the graceful forms found in nature. The pieces will be displayed along the streets and port.
