What I expect to achieve: By the end of this week I expect to have a series of sketches in my ‘Design and Materials’ journal. I also intend to start making my model as the week draws to an end but that will depend on how resourceful I am. What have I achieved? I have drawn more sketches as planned but I haven’t reached a stage where I feel confident enough to start making my model. I only have 3 weeks left and time is no longer on my side, I need to get a move on before I lose track of everything. Did I visit any galleries to further my knowledge? I did not go to any galleries this week. I spent sometime (online) reading about art and architecture in general. I visited two websites for this, ICONEYE and ARTREVIEW. What do I think/feel about my achievements? I am on the right track so far but not there yet. I need to work faster because I have not been as productive this week. I feel like I have been too laidback. What did I learn this week I haven’t learned much this week in relation to my work. However I read about an architect called Zaha Hadid and looked at examples of her work online. I found her work very inspiring and this has motivated me to work harder. What will I do next...? I need to start making my model and continue drawing in my sketchbook journal.
