Welcome to Est Art Fair’s first edition.
Our challenge for 2014 was to produce an international contemporary art fair that would also have space for the galleries to present their artists’ most innovative projects. Our aim is to host a relevant show presenting internationally significant artworks, to produce a round of debates with prominent thinkers while extending our program to showcase and discuss a selection of artists’ books.
However, the most important for us was to create an event with a profile we believe has the best potential as a meeting place for artists, collectors, gallerists, curators, art advisors, and art lovers in general in what will be the last exhibition of the art season, in a mythical and hospitable place—Estoril, in Portugal. Lovely Estoril possesses a number and variety of attractive elements that will be substantial in defining it as a meeting place for the art market, and a place for reflection and debate. (...)
