With Attitude Heavily influenced by music and marvel comics Fabien combines both of these elements to birth this piece. SKEPTA, an inspirational figure to Fabian, depicted casually wielding the infinity gauntlet which in the marvel universe is told to grant its bearer complete mastery over one aspect of the multiverse: Time, Space, Mind, Soul, Reality, and Power. The Burden of an Activist The brush across the male figure’s back symbolizes the burden the artist carries. More specifically, the colours on his back represent the burden of creativity and the fact that it is always on an artist’s mind and on his back. Birth, Life & Death The cycle of the human is represented and its inevitability. The use of the chicken bone in the first image was from a meal eaten by the artist in 1993, later used to represent birth. The middle image with a woman wearing a crown represents life due to her ability to give birth, giving life. The final image of a skull symbolises death. The board used was also designed by the artist and purposefully spherical to represent the earth’s shape. House of Julia Julia represents the light in which all children view their parents and depicts mothers in their divine light. A Jedi from Peckham Finn is portrayed by John Boyega in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. Boyega's casting in the film was first made known on April 29, 2014 at this point the artist began this painting as a tribute to Boyega which he later presented to the actor to mark this momentous occasion and success as a boy from Peckham, London, England, the artists own familiar neighborhood. Into the Light This painting of a woman leading a man into the light has a particular resonance with the artist. The male figure’s nudity below the waist symbolizes his vulnerability. On the far right the artist includes a blue alleyway with a luminous stickman standing alone, representing the man’s dark side, his past, before he was brought into the light.
