Big Cats, Not So Shy Lately! Photo by Paul Marcotte pauljmarcottephotography.com

We’ve all heard, “You may not have ever seen a mountain lion, but if you hike in the Colorado mountains, they’ve likely seen you!” This seems even more evident lately with many lion sightings in Estes Park captured on wildlife cams, at the EP Health emergency room entrance, and groups of cats around Prospect Mountain and throughout the Estes Valley. Local professional photographer, Paul J. Marcotte, quips “Now, I can scratch a mountain lion off of my photography bucket list!” When not hard at work delivering for FedEx, Paul captures spectacular photos and video of wildlife and scenery in our area. Recently, near Boulder, he safely captured these amazing images of this apex predator, high up in a tree.
