Spring Snowstorm On Wednesday, Estes Park received 12 inches of heavy, wet snow! Despite the beauty of it all and the students getting another snow day, this elk seems to represent what many of us thought of our spring snowstorm and the resulting communication failure. Major Communication Outage Due To Weather On Wednesday evening, the Estes Valley and Glen Haven experienced a major communication outage due to weather. This outage included internet services, some land line telephone service and local 9-1-1 communications. At the time of this paper going to press, crews were working on resolving this major outage.
