Recycled décors all the rage Beer bottle countertops now in vogue? (NC)—Making a home more “green” or environmentally-friendly has taken on a whole new meaning over the last few years. It’s evolved from changing a few light bulbs and thermostats to choosing energy-efficient appliances, recycled material floors, carpets and even furniture. In fact, there are even home and garden TV episodes dedicated to ecoconscious homeowners who strive to create entire recycled home decors using only renewable materials as alternatives to traditional interior design options. If you cut or injure yourself while working outdoors, there’s a chance of being exposed to tetanus bacteria. Tetanus doesn’t just lurk in rusty nails, it’s also in dirt, soil and dust. In order to stay protected, you need a tetanus booster every 10 years. I encourage people to talk to their doctor or visit their local clinic to find out if they are protected, and get a booster if they’re not upto-date.
