Nädala retsept: Fall-off-the-Bone Chicken Drums

Makes: 6 servings

Tip: This recipe works just as well with chicken wings, chicken thighs or whole legs.

Ingredients:

1 tsp sea salt

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp granulated garlic

1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper

12 bone-in skin-on chicken drumsticks

BBQ sauce

Preheat oven to 300F. Line sheet pan with parchment paper.

In bowl, stir together salt, sugar, smoked paprika, granulated garlic and pepper. Sprinkle over chicken and rub to coat. Arrange chicken on prepared sheet pan. Bake until skin is browned and dried and chicken is fork-tender, about 2 hours.

Grill finish: Brush chicken with preferred BBQ sauce and transfer to greased grill on medium heat. Cook, flipping once, until charred, about 3 minutes per side.

Oven finish: Increase oven temperature to 400F. Brush chicken with preferred BBQ sauce and return to oven. Bake until sauce is caramelized, about 6–8 minutes.
