EDITORIAL The Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck opened the year with great success. Young athletes from 70 countries were supported by more than 110,000 spectators. Highlights broadcast in more than 60 territories and the contribution of 8.5 million fans via social media confirm the strong interest in the Games. A few days after the closing of the YOG, IOC eyes in Lausanne were focusing on The Olympic Museum, which closed its doors to start a two-year renovation project. The aim of this total metamorphosis is to make the site a veritable Olympic “campus”, inviting visitors to dive into the history, legacy, dreams, challenges and values that have contributed to making the Olympic Movement what it is today. We invite you to follow the progress of the renovations via this website. The OSC team is currently moving from the Museum to its new location, the Villa du Centenaire, and will be reopening its doors in May 2012.
