Product & Services: The patented structural beam and patent pending Skylar IBS panel system can be adapted to almost any construction requirement. The Skylar IBS wall system is a panelized system comprising of light gauge steel and a rubberized concrete polymer (EFIS) wall panel system. The IBS panel has a quick construction cycle and be produced and erected without heavy machinery or skilled labour. Skylar’s expert staff has the capability to design, manufacture, and install any custom or large scale housing projects. Owners, developers, construction managers, and general contractors have realized substantial savings in labour and material costs by using the Skylar IBS wall construction methods, systems and equipment. Applications include commercial and residential structures, educational projects, recreational projects, civil projects, tunnels, utility projects, environmental projects, and virtually every other type of structural construction up to 5 stories.
Advantages Skylar IBS system offers major advances, complete adaptability, and high strength-‐ to-‐weight ratio, and all at cost effective prices. Assembly will be quick and easy. During erection, heavy machine operation and skilled labour will be minimal. This allows for higher quality products at lower costs to the end consumer. Lower Cost Construction Skylar IBS Panel’s drastically reduces construction costs compare with other building materials. Using IBS, contractors save on: • •
•
Material Costs: IBS is significantly less expensive compared with other building materials Labor: Since the IBS floor, wall and roof components are designed and manufactured to fit the exact specification of individual projects, high priced labor is not required. With IBS even unskilled workers can produce high quality results. Tools & Equipment: Building with IBS requires only small power tools. Heavy equipment is not required on the job site.

Transportation Costs: IBS can be packed and shipped far more efficiently than wood, leading to transportation cost savings of up to 75 percent. Oftentimes material for an more than home can be shipped on a single truck. Sub Trade Installations: IBS offers saving of up to 30 percent on material and labor costs for plumbing, heating, air conditioning and electrical installations. IBS floor and wall components feature a raceway for wiring, piping and ductwork. No time consuming cutting is required.
Faster Construction – Easy To Build IBS projects are easy to build and move much faster than working with traditional materials. IBS may reduce project construction time by up to 50 percent. The Skylar IBS components for walls, floors and roofs arrive on the job site color coded or numbered and manufactured according to the specific size requirements of the project. The onsite work is an easy step by step assembly process that can easily be handled by unskilled workers. No time is wasted measuring, cutting, drilling and shaping the materials. Installations of plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning services go much faster. The IBS raceway eliminates the need for cutting through or diverting the services around the structural framework. Superior Structural Rigidity IBS’s structural integrity is exceptional, far surpassing almost all other building materials. IBS has been engineer designed and thoroughly tested to stand up to the destructive forces of earthquakes, hurricanes and typhoons. IBS can meet the stringent building code standards of hurricane prone Dade County, Florida and earthquake prone Kobe, Japan. Exceptional Strength IBS is one of the strongest building materials on the market. It has an excellent load capacity to weight ratio. This allows architects to design much larger open spans than is possible with wood and other construction framing systems. IBS has lifelong durability, the product will not warp, twist, shrink or rot. Compatible with Other Materials IBS is very versatile. It can be used with a host of other structural building materials including wood, brick, and poured concrete and concrete blocks.

It accommodates all types of finishing. Exterior walls may be finished with brick, Portland cement, stucco plaster, various types of siding, plywood, shingles, particle board, acrylic or elastomeric coating. For social housing the IBS EFIS wall panel increases efficiencies’ in production and construction. For interior walls, gypsum wallboard is just one of the many options contractors have for finishing materials. IBS’s compatibility with other materials makes it suitable for projects worldwide. Stand Up To Environmental Demands Skylar IBS can meet the demands of any climate. For temperate climate and cold weather areas, a wide variety of insulation materials can be used with Integra including fiberglass, expanded and extruded polystyrene and spray cellulose products. For warm weather areas ad tropical climates IBS offers the advantage of complete resistance to rot, rodent problems and termite infestations. Multi Storey Structures Skylar IBS brings new efficiencies to building multi residential, commercial complexes and office buildings up to 5 stories high. For buildings up to 5 stories, IBS can be used as the load-‐bearing structural framework. For taller buildings IBS is combined with concrete on structural steel in pre-‐formed custom spandrel or curtain wall panel assemblies. On multi storey projects IBS: • • • • • • •
Reduces amount of concrete required by up to 75 percent Speeds up construction Reduces costs Requires less labor Fits most building designs Provides greater energy efficiency Makes mechanical installations easier

International Building Code Compliance Fact Sheet Overview Provide modular building structures for residential and commercial applications that meet and exceed International Building Code compliance.
Description Wall and roof systems designed from light gage steel, EPS and EFIS materials. All raw materials are accepted in regular building practices internationally. The unique fabrication process utilizes these products in a modular construction form. All fasteners meet or exceed building regulation internationally.
Exterior Material • • • • •
Exterior EFIS (cement like material) to meet and exceed international Building Code 2004 Exterior EPS (Expanded Poly Styrene) to meet thermal performance values of R15 on average. Exterior IBS Roof System engineered and tested to meet any dead load requirements for the International Building Code 2004. Exterior Roof tile or shingle to meet International Building Code 2004. Exterior windows and doors to meet or exceed energy compliance as well as air, water and structural requirements. Low E coatings available to achieve higher U-‐ Values.
Internal Material • • • • •
Internal EFIS and EPS material help achieve even higher thermal performance. Exceeds R15 with this option (performance up to R60 is also possible) Internal Drywall allows a minimum of 45 min fire rating where required. Interior light gauge studs within EPS walls are a minimum of 18 gauge which exceed International Building Regulations for exterior walls being 24 or even 26 gauge. All Steel members to be a minimum of galvanized or galvalume 90. This exceeds general building code which is generally galvalume 40 or less. All interior plumbing and electrical to be International Code Complaint.
Conclusion All raw materials and fastening methods are derived from current accepted building code compliance products. Skylar building can be adapted to meet code in virtually any country. THE SKYLAR PROJECT
