Generate thousands of hours for local populations The Construction Process The Skylar Project home designs are optimized for exceptionally fast onsite construction. For example, the Benchmark Home shown in Appendix 1 is estimated to take approximately 179 hours of labor to construct. The technology and construction process have been simplified so as to significantly reduce the requirements for traditional skilled construction labor. This makes it possible to generate substantial employment opportunities for local populations. For 3000 homes, the total employment hours generated is estimated to be well in excess of 540,000 hours for construction and approximately 35,000 hours for training for a total of 575,000 hours. The Manufacturing Process Considerable design effort has been spent to ensure factory process can be executed effectively, efficiently, and safely by local populations with little or no experience in manufacturing environments. For the benchmark home shown in Appendix 1, manufacturing is estimated to take approximately 70 hours to produce. Time requirements will vary depending on overall units produce and local conditions. For 3000 homes, the total employment hours generated is estimated to be well in excess of 237,000 hours for manufacturing and approximately 13,300 hours for training for a total of 250,300 hours. The Skylar Project Factory Overview The Skylar Project has a unique, and proprietary system for manufacturing components for the construction of residential and commercial building up to 5 stories. Specific implementations of factories depend on local conditions, volume of homes/buildings, and geographic distribution of construction sites. The monthly production capacity of the base factory system is estimated to be approximately 120 units per month and it is estimated the facility will run at approximately 70-‐80% capacity. Base factories can easily be expanded to facilitate production of an addition 100 units per month. The initial base factory and subsequent expansion can be provisioned on a 3 to 4 month lead-‐time.
