Rentals Program
The Ethical Culture Fieldston School has four divisions spread across two campuses in Manhattan and the Bronx. Our Fieldston campus is located on 18 acres of beautiful wooded land in Riverdale. Our Ethical Culture campus is housed in a historical six-floor building just opposite Central Park.
We welcome external community organizations as well as those affiliated with ECFS to rent various spaces on both campuses during times that the school is not using them. Our gyms and fields are available for sporting events and practices, while communal areas, classrooms, the dining hall, and the auditorium serve as ideal venues for meetings, dinners, and gatherings.
Campus safety officers are stationed at both campuses and will always be on duty during rental events. Additional support from our Facilities team can be arranged in advance for an extra fee.
Priority for space usage is given to ECFS-related events. In the rare instance of needing to cancel a scheduled rental due to a school-related function, we will do our best to accommodate another date and time for the rental request.

Athletic Facilities
The Fieldston campus offers three gymnasiums to choose from, along with two fields ideal for sports practices and games.
Additionally, groups using our athletic facilities in the Upper School can access locker rooms and select athletic equipment for an added fee as part of their rental package.

UPPER TURF FIELD AND LOWER TURF FIELD
Our upper field is suitable for football, field hockey, and lacrosse, while the lower field is well-suited for baseball, softball, and soccer.
VARSITY GYMNASIUM
The varsity gym is equipped with three full-size basketball courts, three full-size volleyball courts, and includes collapsible bleachers.

LOWER SCHOOL GYMNASIUM
The gym in our Fieldston Lower division is ideal for smaller-scale events and sports activities tailored for elementary-aged students.
Occupancy: 250 Persons
JUNIOR VARSITY GYMNASIUM
Our junior varsity gym features two full size volleyball courts and a basketball court. The gym also includes folding bleachers.

Additional Spaces and Services
We have classrooms available for rental at all of our divisions on a case by case basis. Classrooms can typically accommodate around 25 people.
If there’s a specific space of interest at either campus not listed in the brochure, please reach out to us, and we’ll explore the possibility of rentals in that area.
Communal Spaces
Whether you are planning a meeting, lecture, or seated dinner, we have a number of versatile communal spaces on campus that are equipped to accommodate a range of events.
STUDENT COMMONS
Audiovisual
The recently renovated Student Commons offers a versatile venue suitable for meetings, presentations, dinners, and a range of other events. It comes equipped with a small stage and podium. Access to the projector, screen, and audio system can be added into your rental.

STUDENT FACULTY CENTER
With a small stage and podium, our student faculty room is well-suited for intimate gatherings, meetings, and presentations.
Occupancy: 75 Persons
DINING HALL
The Middle/Upper Dining Hall consists of a main floor and balcony. While ideal for seated dinners, it can be rearranged to suit a variety of events.
Occupancy: 400 Persons
AUDITORIUM
Our auditorium, equipped with a large stage, podium, and screen is designed for larger-scale events, presentations, and gatherings. Access to audio-visual equipment can be requested. The auditorium must be rented for 4 hours minimum.
