Who are u and what do u do? My name is Michaela Alexander and I am the founder and author of Miles & Mia ltd.
Who are ur influences? My children Miles age 8 and Mia-Nicole age 6.
Why should people follow u online? I create real books for real kids and it’s my mission to help normalise the UK children’s book market.
What are ur thoughts on UK authors & representation of women? Since A to Z launched in 2016, I have seen a positive change and rise of diverse and inclusive books being published in the UK. However, I still don’t think it’s enough compared to the demographics of the country…I also receive many emails from women asking for advice and saying I have inspired them to self-publish which is refreshing.

Tell us one interesting fact about u. I used to manage the world famous Ministry of Sound Club and had a drink named after me called the “Kala Special”.
Take this moment to offload (vent) about anything u want to see changed Imitation is the highest form of flattery but it’s frustrating seeing people knock other people off without giving credit….Be original and don’t copy!

What can we expect from u in 2018? Miles & Mia 1 to 10 is currently in the works. Like with A to Z book a lot of love and attention to detail has gone into it and I can’t wait to share it with the world…Limited edition hard back copies of A to Z book will also be published…And the real life Miles & Mia are super busy with their modelling and acting commitments.
