A partnered project of an Australian style terrace house for a couple which consists a female artist and a blind man who worked as a judge. The design aims to blur the boundaries between the social stereotypical idea of normal and abnormal through the use of visual illusion, special division to overthrow people’s expectations of the set up of a space.

Void Walkway
While keeping the facade unchanged, the interior spaces are arranged following a hierarchical order of the clients’ personal preferences. The clash between different spaces juxtapose the clients’ different personalities while the ramps make the connection. A sense of just and equity is also exprssed through the slanted floor as it allows its users to be able to identify their direction within the building without the need of vision.

On 12th May 2008, an earthquake measured 8.0 hit Wenchuan County, Sichuan, China. Over 80,000 people were left homeless due to most buildings being destroyed in the county. - Dwelling plan for over 80,000 people. - Accessible design for over 37,000 people injured due to the earthquake. - Physical and emotional recovery. - Prevention of future risks.
