Statement on Diversity We believe in the worth and dignity of all people. We learn, reflect, grow, and effect change through dialogue, education, and action. We foster a community that acts with compassion, embraces discomfort, thinks critically, questions norms, and welcomes the world’s multiple perspectives. We use our voices, challenge ourselves and others, and stand up for ourselves and others against injustice. We champion, cultivate, and celebrate all members of our community so that we all participate as our full authentic selves, and thereby become stronger in our shared diversity. ETON SCHOOL

Drama Camp presents the popular tale of the “Three Little Pigs” who set upon a journey to find their way in the world. For their first attempt at independence, each pig builds a house. Which pig built a sturdy house that Mr. Wolf will not be able to blow down? Campers have fun acting out the different roles and learn important lessons and skills in the process. The benefits of performing arts are:

• Learning Empathy (respecting differences and embracing similarities) • Building Confidence, Collaborative Skills and Self-Expression • Social Emotional Skills • Learning to Improvise • Improving Communication Skills, Concentration, and Memory Week 1: Campers listen to the story and become familiar with the characters, plot, and songs. They start to learn lines and get comfortable acting out a role. Week 2: Campers receive a role to play, start memorizing lines and work together to set the stage. Week 3: Campers start practicing from beginning to end with accompaniment by a pianist. Their performance on the last day will be recorded and shared.
