The students generally learn a new game each week, and then spend the rest of the time playing and bonding with fellow students.
Middle School Homework Club
Middle School Homework Club provides a supportive learning environment for sixth-, seventh-, and eighthgrade students to complete their homework in a peaceful and quiet after school setting. Supervised by Dr. Walker, students receive homework support and opportunities to collaborate on their work. Advanced notice of attendance is appreciated, however, drop-ins are welcome with a note from a parent.
Middle School Math Club
The Middle School Math Club has two objectives. Firstly, to encourage an appreciation and enjoyment of math and its essential role in so many parts of life, thereby helping students develop real-life math skills they will benefit from in the years that follow. Secondly, to build their academic math skills, individually and in groups, and to create positive experiences at external regional math competitions. The Club is led by Eton Parent David Rowell, an experienced Math Club coach and advisor, with Ms. Moore as the Club Adviser.
Middle School Speech and Debate Club
Middle School Speech and Debate Club teaches students the fundamentals of public speaking and how to reason and express themselves cogently and clearly. It encourages an open-minded appreciation of both sides of issues, and helps to make students better and more persuasive communicators. The Club is led by an Eton parent, David Rowell (a former champion debater and regular public speaker) with Ms. Laura Moore as Club Adviser.
