Control Room Health Dept Govt. of Balochistan operational 24/7 for any kind of information & coordination regarding COVID-19 activities in Balochistan. 081-9202080, 1166. The numbers of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Balochistan has risen to 465 with 33 new cases including overall 06 death (CFR 1.2). The active cases are 298 in province. 70 years old male from Panjpai Quetta died due to COVID-19 with comorbidity of Diabetes and Hypertension. Total deaths are 06 in Balochistan. 0ut of 465, 68% (317) cases are local transmission from Quetta (252), Chagai (11) Lorlai (06), Jaffarabad (18), Khuzdar (01) , Mastung (10), Kharan (02) Pishin (08), Killabdullah (05), Sibi (03) and Harnai (01). 03 positive cases (Home quarantine) from Lorlai and 04 from SKBZ came negative and completely revered. Total recover is 161 in Balochistan. 87 Quarantine persons send back to their provinces from Taftan Quarantine place. The provincial rapid response team investigated COVID-19 cases and collected suspected samples 46 at jaffarabad and 02 at Naseerabad. In meeting with stakeholders including UN agencies, NGOs and INGOs it was directed to support DoH in controlling outbreak of COVID-19 as per their organization mandate.

The RRT team Attended meeting of RRT strengthening at EOC Balochistan Chaired by DC Quetta with decision that all samples of suspected cases will be registered on 1122 then lab samples will be collected, District RRT teams will also take random samples from deserved community persons, district RRT will assign dedicated teams for repeat sample collection on shared complete list of repeat R1 and R2 samples on daily basis. RRT continued the Repeat samples collection of 2 positive COVID-19 cases and Total 12 home isolated persons released after recovery. PEO-Musakhail gave COVID-19 orientation to 1 UCPO, 5 TTSPs, 3 IHCPs and 2 Community members at WHO office Musakhail. DSO-Jaffarabad attended training of COVID-19 for IPC and Clinical management conducted by IPH Quetta at Dera Murad Jamali Naseerabad.
Local transmission of cases in Balochistan: 0ut of 465, 68% (317) cases are local transmission from Quetta (252), Chagai (11) Lorlai (06), Jaffarabad (18), Khuzdar (01) , Mastung (10), Kharan (02) Pishin (08), Killabdullah (05), Sibi (03) and Harnai (01). The 89% of cases are belong from Quetta followed by Jaffarabad 6% and Chagai 3%. Now that the new coronavirus / COVID-19, the illness it causes, are spreading among communities in Quetta and other part of the province. Due to high number of local transmission cases the community strongly follow the DoH instructions and stay home to avoid positive contact and do social distancing if meet some one new or go outside. % of Local transmission cases reported from Districts (89% cases are from Quetta)
