Control Room Health Dept Govt. of Balochistan operational 24/7 for any kind of information & coordination regarding COVID-19 activities in Balochistan 081-9202080 / 111-400-400. Two RT-PCR will be functionating from today onward at FJ Lab, previous test capacity was 500, now would double to 1200/Day. COVID-19 is spreading very fast in Balochsitan province. Yesterday 57 positive cases have been reported which is highest numbers in a day. The numbers of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Balochistan has risen to 607 with 55 new cases including overall 08 death (CFR 1.3). The active cases are 425 in province. Local transmission is also increasing, out of 607, 75% (459) cases

are local transmission from Quetta (365), Chagai (11) Lorlai (06), Jaffarabad (21), Khuzdar (01) , Mastung (13), Kharan (02) Pishin (26), Killabdullah (05), Sibi (06) Ziarat (02) and Harnai (01). •

The total deaths are 08 in province due to Co-Morbidity with COVID-19. The primary reason of deaths are renal failure / other co-morbidities. The deaths are taken because secondary came COVID-19 positive. Death Category with positive COVID-19 03 Renal Failure 03 Hypertension/Diabetes 01 ARDS 01 Carcinoma 06 positive patient recovered from home quarantine, Total recovered are 174 out of 607. The recovery rate of the globe is 27%, country (Pakistan 21%) and the highest rate is from Balochistan province which is 28%. The overall mortality and recovery rate of Balochistan province is better if compare to Globe, Country and other provinces which shows good response to disease.

02 suspect tested as confirmed COVID- 19 at Gwadar. Both patients had travelling history to Quetta, symptoms developed at Gwadar, tested positive at Karachi AKU lab as went for checkup. It shows imported cases. Out of 10 primary contacts 07 is in Quarantine. The District health management team Quetta with the support of RRT and MERC screened 1406 and 347 samples have been taken from suspects. As per direction of Chief Minister Balochistan - to get idea about disease pattern and for future strategy random sampling has been started from 04 areas (Kuchlock, Shabaz town Jinnah town, Nosar and Kechi baig Ghous abad) of Quetta with four RRT team. Each team will collect 125 samples. Deputy Speaker National Assembly visited COVID-19 Operational Cell, Additional secretary Health, Operational cell Incharge and Provincial RRT lead briefed him regarding COVID-19 activities and requested for more logistic and Lab equipment demand.

Surveillance / Rapid Response Team / PDSRU: •

P.RRT screened 36 suspected and took lab samples of CM Secretariat and Deputy Speaker National Assembly Pakistan staff. Lead P. RRT facilitated meeting regarding, delay Repeat in repeat test results, Positive lab results declaration, other testing methods /options. In meeting its decided that the COVID_19 lab test results will only be shared after declaration of official results, security personal will assigned to RRTs doing the repeat samples. On directions of Additional Secretary Health Operational cell Incharge and P. RRT visited Reference lab and conducted meeting with lab data staff for revising the Lab samples collection and declaring results. P.RRT lead with support of DC Pishin implemented all safe and dignified burial of COVID-19 case at Pishin.

The 80% of cases are belong from Quetta followed by Pishin 6% Jaffarabad 05% and Chagai 03%. The strong precautions have been promoted to stay home and do regular social distancing.

Female aware on COVID19 in Communities 153. MERC 1122 Progress • 08 teams (24 staff). 03 ambulances with 06 staff for transfer of patients to isolation facilities. 01 Bike ambulance for RTA response. Progress: • Collected 35 samples of Corona suspects. • MERC team responded to a RTA on Samungli Road. • Helpline 1122 received 11 calls (screening request). Consultation given by Medical Officers and responded by MERC team. • Training of staff on tracing mechanism was conducted by Dr. Aftab Kakar and Dr. Kamalan at MERC 1122 Head Office. • 04 ambulances equipped with ventilators, added to MERC RRT fleet working in COVID-19 operations Quetta. • 500 cases of repeat tests of positive patients in isolation facilities were processed, started today. • 01 dead body was shifted by MERC RRT team.
