Control Room Health Dept Govt. of Balochistan operational 24/7 for any kind of information & coordination regarding COVID-19 activities in Balochistan 081-9202080 / 111-400-400. Two RT-PCR will be functionating from today onward at FJ Lab, previous test capacity was 500, now would double to 1200/Day. COVID-19 is spreading very fast in Balochsitan province. Yesterday 55 and today 49 positive cases have been reported which is highest numbers in two days. 02 more deaths reported today. 50 years old female and 60 years male in Quetta died due to Co-Morbidity with positive COVID-19. The numbers of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Balochistan has risen to 656 with 49 new cases including overall 10 death (CFR 1.5). The active cases are 470 in province. Local transmission is also increasing, out of 656, 77% (508) cases
02 more deaths reported today. The total deaths are 10 in province due to Co-Morbidity with COVID-19. The primary reason of deaths are renal failure / other co-morbidities. The deaths are taken because secondary came COVID-19 positive. Death Category with positive COVID-19 03 Renal Failure 03 Hypertension/Diabetes 03 ARDS/COPD 01 Carcinoma 02 positive patient recovered from home quarantine. Total recovered are 176 out of 656. The recovery rate of the globe is 27%, country (Pakistan 21%) and the highest rate is from Balochistan province which is 26% in country. The overall mortality and recovery rate of Balochistan province is better if compare to Country and other provinces which shows good response to disease.

As per direction of Chief Minister Balochistan - to get idea about disease pattern and for future strategy random sampling has been started from 04 areas (Kuchlock, Shabaz town Jinnah town, Nosar and Kechi baig Ghous abad) of Quetta with four RRT team. Till today 363 samples have been taken, 09 results came positive, negative 22 and remaining in pending. There are total 336 positive cases are home isolated, 19 recovered till date.
Surveillance / Rapid Response Team / PDSRU: P.RRT screened 24 persons and took 14 lab samples of Suspected from Operational cell, WHO and repeat tests of COVID_19 cases. The team visited reference lab FJ Quetta, monitor the Lab data reporting and result sharing Protocols in response to the concern on lab results sharing and its authenticity .Facilitated D. RRT regarding implementation of safe and dignified burial of COVID-19 Positive cases .Complied and shared the Home isolated, Cases at Hospitals, COVID-19 deaths and Quarantine data with NEOC. DSO-Sibi division screened 10 laborers having travelling History of Punjab and

The most affected age group was 30-44 years 32.50% (n=194) followed by 15-29 years 27.64% (n=165).
The highest attack rate (183/1000000 population) was in age group 45-59 years followed by 60+ Years age group (AR=127/1000000 population). The overall attack rate was 45/1000000 population in Province.
