about me I am currently a fifth year Architecture student at Carnegie Mellon University graduating in May. Born in New York but lived in Hong Kong and Singapore, I am very interested in the built environment as well as art and design. Having lived in different cities such as New York, Hong Kong,
2
Singapore, and Barcelona, the wide range of experiences in fast paced environment has allowed me to easily adapt and interact with diverse groups of individuals. In my free time, I like to sketch, play basketball, go for a swim, or even take my camera out for a walk. I love traveling and have been very
fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to many places such as India, Australia, Vietnam, Panama, Czech Republic. My work reflects a strong interest in urban design and material processes with extensive knowledge of various digital softwares, drawing and modeling experiences. I hope you enjoy!

site plan Looking at the design intentions INFO of Gropious and Brauer’s Aluminum Terrace City Housing scheme in New Kensington, PA, the design approach to this community center draws cues from the existing building networks as well as the figure ground relationship to the site.
SITE PROGRAMS

ATTC
The project is orientated to mirror the figure ground V by directing out to New Kensington to take advantage of the views created from being on top of the flat plane along the hill edge. In addition, it is orientated to shield against the strong western winds and southern sun.
SITE NETWORKS
Programmatically, it is split into three wings with the parking lot entrance leading into the entry plaza with fitness and gymnasium on the left and the main multi purpose functions on the right extending into the hill edge.

RIVULET
The boathouse is located along INfo an active running and biking path across the Allegheny river from the vibrant Strip District in Pittsburgh. The active path influenced a flowing design, carved between the two dirt streams of running paths. Serving as a rental shop for kayaks with an adjacent existing outlook to a great view of the river, the site is sixteen feet above the river’s water level, on a hundred-year flood plane. For accessibility to the river as well as water runoff, a ramp is designed to dip underneath one of the existing running paths, forming a tunnel with a view of the only water’s surface.
The boat house’s real beauty is in the roof. Bent wood beams flow overhead the users, directing them to the water. The need for distracting cross bracing is mitigated by secondary beams which bounce back and forth between beams. Fiberglass channels run down the length of each pair of beams, guiding rain water down the ramp and away from the dirt paths. The kayaks are stored vertically, leaning against the thick southern wall which acts as a thermal mass to help cool the boathouse. As kayaks are rented and removed, a slit of southern light is revealed.

2030 Outreach proposes to create a residence that will promote the growth of a thriving community within the Uptown neighborhood. The property’s location along Forbes Avenue is ideal for easy accessibility within the immediate area. Affordability is a striving goal for the scope of this project. Taking into consideration that the growing family supports itself through the median income rate of Pittsburgh, the new design for the residence must be based on cost-efficiency. This entails retaining much of the existing features of the house, minimizing mechanical systems, and supporting easy maintenance for the building.

From the exploration of colors INFO and views through an aperture unit module, the classroom design aims to create a dialogue between students and the environment. The idea of interactivity is encouraged by the presence of a series of cubbie like aperture units used in both outdoor and indoor settings. Spaces are organized within each classroom unit such that the transparency of this facade unit helps promote the integration between outdoor and indoor learning. Nature becomes part of the learning environment because it is linked via this familiar object.
