EU’GO experimentations
Orti Urbani Garbatella Being always active , the urban gardeners of Garbatella, welcome in October 2012 the Indian activist Vandana Shiva who fights against ogm and the preservation of the ancient seeds.
Study Visit 3 in Rome : the European urban Gardeners who travelled to Italy within EU’GO project have brought seeds from their countries ,from different plants as a gift to Orti Urbani Garbatella. An idea was born that moment : Why don’t we construct a communitarian seed beds?
COMMUNITARIAN SEEDBEDS
The Good Practice Sheet of the Spanish garden that promotes his seed bank is transferred to the Garbatella gardeners. Useful info and mail contacts have already been exchanged.
More information is needed..EU’GO project provides also the Good Practice Sheet of a French garden in Corsica and a project plan to facilitate the experimentation. Everything is set! In the next weeks Orti Urbani Garbatella will construct their seed beds

COMMUNITARIAN SEEDBEDS
To realize the seedbeds by covering the tool shed with plexiglas.
To organize a meeting with the interested gardeners and plan the usage of the seedbeds.
Last, but not least: to sow!
The idea! A tool shed, to transform in a communitarian seedbeds for the gardeners of Garbatella Urban Gardens, A communitarian seedbeds where to grow your plants, to reproduce seeds and preserve old species. Where to exchage seeds and knowledge!
