Seed Libraries
Take advantage of the Noosa and Sunshine Coast council’s Seed Libraries at each of their library branches. Seed Libraries are free and open to anyone with a library membership.
A seed library allows you to borrow up to four seed packets a month to grow at home and return some seeds once the plant has matured. When donating seeds back to the libraries, include as much detail about your seeds as possible including common name, variety, date collected, and conditions needed for growth to help the next grower. Seeds for herbs, vegetables and flowers are included.

Seed libraries across both council areas are collaborative efforts with community gardens and organisations such as Permaculture Noosa. Sunshine Coast Libraries seed boxes were crafted by the Blackall Range Woodies. Noosa Libraries seed packets were designed by local artists with the help of the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre.
