THANPATI NARAYAN TEMPLE
Location: Banepa, Kavre
Project Type: Measured Drawing
Year: 2019
A two-tiered Lord Krishna temple without any existing drawings or written historical documentation is located in the town of Banepa. Our team studied and took measurements of this piece of architectural history. Drawings of the temple and its complex were done in an effort to learn about measured drawing and maybe preserve a record of the structure.

Detail sketch of the Main Door
According to history, the Thanapati Narayan Temple was initially constructed between the 4th and 7th centuries during the Lichhavi period. It resembles Changu Narayan temple, built around the same time. The sculptures of Krishna and Radha inside the shrine indicate that the temple is devoted to Lord Krishna.

Presence Hope Tranquility
3D visualization & section of the central space
A foyer connects to the main central space. The flow of water from rom the interior to the exterior of the space symbolizes the absence. Water cannot be stopped, but the way it eventually melds with the natural world symbolizes correa’s enduring relationship with future generations. Additionally, the sun’s rays striking the artifact at dawn and dusk signify “a new beginning and a new ending.”

Progression of spaces
In the entrance, there is a foyer where natural light and shadows interact. Through the skylight, light and shadow gently travel along the walls and floors of the internal area. One is greeted warmly upon entering the building in the foyer. The focal point of the memorial is the water element that sits on the central space.
The visitor then walks through the courtyard space that provides an excellent view to the coastal area.

Reimagining Overhead Pedestrian Bridge
Location: Tudikhel, Kathmandu
Project Type: Landscape
Year: 2022
With the idea of getting people together, the site was selected in order to connect the surrounding neighbourhood with an interactive trail.
The paths create an illusive multisensory experience that reconnects people with nature and evokes five-sense experiences of being in a forest. It is an inviting public getaway, where visitors can interact with diverse activities, and feel harmonized with the surrounding natural landscape.
