The second opening for Mandarin Oriental in Turkey, Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus is set in a commanding position on the shoreline overlooking the water on the European side of Istanbul. Said to be the city’s only true destination spa, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul is a stunning, wellness retreat filled with vivid natural daylight.

State-of-the-art facilities and treatment rooms pay homage to the hotel’s surrounds with light eucalyptus wood, marble, and mosaic, while an extensive spa menu features both modern and traditional therapies.

Tihany Design conceived the spa including a courtyard and a grand Zen garden. A curved corridor with glass panels inspired by gingko leaves leads the way to 11 Corteccia-marble world-class treatment rooms – many with private changing and shower areas – hammams and indoor pool, all creating a sense of calming guest journey.

A private treatment room with its own garden, private Jacuzzi and Gharieni Amphibia treatment beds. The spa also boasts three separate hammams which incorporate layered geometric ceiling coves inspired by the intricate designs of traditional Turkish baths.

Alessia Genova curated comfortable lounge seating and semi-private cabanas to surround the spa’s elegant and tranquil indoor pool, which features a large backlit ceiling cove, its shape and lighting inspired by Turkish landscapes. Guests will also find a large, modern fitness suite, 20 metre lap pool with views of the Bosphorus, and a relaxation area that opens to the Zen spa garden lined with Ottoman-inspired archways to give a true sense of place.

The spa offers science-led facial treatments from Biologique Recherche as well as the Gharieni The MLX i³Dome, which combines Far Infrared technology with Plasma and Light for unique face and body treatments.
