Combining history, heritage and opulent rituals, luxury hospitality group Airelles opened Airelles Château de Versailles, Le Grand Contrôle on the outskirts of Paris. The first hotel to open within the grounds of the historic French landmark and the group’s seventh property, its Spa by Valmont is housed in a building that dates back to 1681. Designed by architect Christophe Tollemer, its hand-painted frescos and Carrara marble checkerboard floor were inspired by the palace’s marble courtyard.

The spa menu features restorative treatments from Swiss skincare expert Valmont alongside Maison Caulieres for the body, Manucurist for nails and Nougatine for children. Gharieni supplied the treatment beds with textiles from RKF Luxury Linen while Idoine Piscines and Spa provided the 15m indoor swimming pool as well as the hammam, sauna and steamroom. Technogym equipped the high-tech fitness space.
