Best for: Parisian spa perfection

French hotel operator Cheval Blanc this year opened its first urban hotel in Paris complete with a Dior Spa. Situated inside La Samaritane, a landmark former department store on the banks of the Seine, the hotel was designed by New York-based architect Peter Marino and features 72 guest suites offering spectacular views over the Seine and across Paris.

Described as a ‘Dior cocoon’, the spa boasts six treatment suites designed with different motifs as a tribute to Christian Dior, each equipped with its own private bathroom, made from white onyx, and Gharieni treatment beds. Additional facilities include a 30m swimming pool that has been built at the same level as the Seine and set with hand-crafted blue mosaics by Michael Mayer.

The treatment menu includes the Sapphire Crystal Micro-Abrasion Booster, which features a vibrating facial tool set with sapphire particles to exfoliate and encourage cell regeneration. The spa also has its own exclusive fragrance developed by perfumer François Demachy.
