GENEVA: Top Tips for Teachers 1) Public Transport is free for tourists in Geneva. On arrival collect your train cket in the luggage carousel room at the airport from the cket machine. You will get your public transport ckets upon check-in for the rest of your stay. This covers train, tram, bus and public transport boats! 2) Geneva is expensive. We recommend booking evening meals with European Study Tours in ad‐ vance of your trip, to ensure your group get the best value for money with our pre-agreed set rate menus. 3) There are free drinking water fountains do/ed around Geneva. Make sure you keep hold of your water bo7le to take advantage of this and avoid paying out for bo7les of water in the supermarkets! 4) If you have not booked a packed lunch with us, we would recommend purchasing food from supermarkets (Migros has a store inside the main sta on). You can purchase ready to eat food at cheaper prices than the cafes! 5) CERN is a popular visit. We recommend all groups wan ng to visit CERN confirm this visit before they confirm their tour where possible. Groups wan ng to purchase lunch from the CERN café should request to take the lecture last, as the lecture hall is next to the cafeteria. 6) Book your visit to CERN here: h7p://outreach.web.cern.ch/outreach/visites/schools.html. As a Tour Operator, we are unable to book this visit on your behalf. 7) CERN in Geneva can be reached by public transport and transfers for the site can be arranged by CERN.
