If you are interested in wilderness specific or primeval forest specific research in the Dürrenstein Wilderness Area WGD resp. the Rothwald Primeval Forest, a collaboration project with the WGD, a Master thesis or Ph.D. thesis, you are invited to send title, author(s) and abstract, preferably in English and German, with about 250 (to max. 300) words, preferably until early August 2019. [Note: Topics that can be investigated outside of the protected area won’t be investigated within the Wilderness Area resp. within the Primeval Forest.] Additionally to discussing your research ideas during the conference, there is also the possibility for a 10 to 15 min presentation about your research idea, proposal and funding possibilities. There is also going to be the possibility for a video presentation (via skype or recorded). If you are interested in a project, attending the conference or giving a 10 to 15 min presentation on the 17th of October 2019, you can contact ingrid.kohl@wildnisgebiet.at, preferably until early August 2019.
