Woman drowns A 62-YEAR-OLD Russian woman drowned in the waters off Moncayo Beach in Guardamar del Segura.

Laying sand AROUND 300 tonnes of sand will be laid on various beaches in Torrevieja over the coming weeks.

Auctioning cars HOISTING FLAGS: Joining Mancebo were the new lifeguard service members and Local Police officers.

Orihuela’s beaches awarded 5 ‘Q’ flags ‘Q’ FOR quality flags were hoisted on five beaches in Orihuela. This puts Orihuela as the municipality which received the most flags in the Valencia Region.

“It shows the quality of our beaches, which is thanks to the work carried out by the town hall,” said Tourism and Beach Councillor Pedro Mancebo. The beaches to receive this

award were Punta Prima, Cala de la Estaca, Cala Capitan, Playa de la Glea and Mil Palmeras. At the hoising of the flags, the new security and lifeguard service was presented.
