MALLORCA singer and columnist for EWN, Leapy Lee, has been challenged by student Will Scott to update his 1960s’ hit ‘Little Arrows’. Will heard Leapy sing the song at his school, the Balears International College, and, as a singer in the school band, he had the idea of recording a rap version. Attack on animal activist THE attack on an animal activist during the protest against running of the bulls in Alcudia has been denounced by AnimaNaturalis. The incident took place on July 22 in Plaza de Toros when a fan of the running of the bulls allegedly attacked one of the protestors, kicking the placard he was carrying causing an injury to his leg. “This action is inadmissible and shows the violence of these fans,” said Guillermo Amengual,

3 injured in explosion THREE people were seriously injured in a gas explosion. The explosion took place at the home of a Swiss national on Call Sud in Cala Llombards, in the Santanyi municipality in the south of the island.Two of them were carrying out works in the basement of the house. Initially they were taken to Son Espases Hospital in Palma de Mallorca, but later transferred to La Fe Hospital in Valencia. The property owner was first taken to Miramar Policlinica and then transferred to a health centre in Switzerland.
