Xmas air joy as Iberia strike plans grounded CHRISTMAS has come early for Iberia passengers. Strikes planned for tomorrow (Friday), and from next Monday until Friday, December 17, have been called off. Francisco Rodriguez, for the airline sector of the General Workers’ Union (UGT), said the strikes had been called off ‘to avoid problems for people who are travelling’. But further strike action is on the cards after Christmas, with the strike committee meeting this week to discuss setting new dates.
