New night-time threat to emergency service MORE health centres are set to lose their night emergency services. This has already occurred in several Marina Alta towns including Pedreguer and Gata de Gorgos, with after-hours emergencies now attended to at Denia Hospital. Alicante Province has nine general hospitals and there are few municipalities more than an hour’s drive away, it has already been pointed out.
