BENIDORM is fighting a two-pronged attack against the economic crisis. Firstly, the bustling resort has the most expensive properties in the Valencia region. Secondly, more owners are revamping their homes to keep Benidorm beautiful. The town is enjoying a bustling property market with average prices of €1,945 per square metre, according to the Valuation Office’s latest report. This is far above the average house price of €1,606 per square metre. Although property prices have fallen in Benidorm along with the rest of the Alicante region, it is still a lucrative market. Prices for Benidorm’s newest apartment block, Residencial In Tempo, which will become the city’s tallest building at 200 metres high, could soar to €6,000 a square metre. The building has attracted a great deal of attention for its twin towers joined at the top to resemble the letter M.
