Aircrew Association celebrates the Coronation
THE Aircrew Association
Costa Blanca hosted a special lunch for 107 members and guests to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III at La Cumbre Restaurant in Benitachell.
Guests included representatives from the Royal British Legion North Costa Blanca, the Royal Air Forces Association Costa Blanca, the Levante Council of the Navy League of the United States of America, the Anglican Church Costa Blanca, the Benitachell Christian Fellowship (the Church on the
Mountain), the Rotary Fellowship of the Costa Blanca North and many personal guests.
After the welcome by the Chairman, Max Maxwell and an appropriate Grace from the Association’s Honorary Chaplain, Father Jim Booker, a superb lunch was served starting with Coronation Chicken, cooked especially for the occasion by Luis, La Cumbre’s young chef, to the recipe originally conceived for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation in 1953.
Max Maxwell gave a speech entitled ‘A Salute to King Charles III’ which was followed by the Toast to King Charles, proposed by Life Vice President Henry Horth, the singing of the National Anthem and three rousing cheers for His Majesty King Charles and Her Majesty Queen Camilla.
Responsible recycling in Teulada
TEULADA MORAIRA Town Hall is calling on residents to take greater care when dumping rubbish at public collection points.

The council published a photograph on its Facebook page showing an overflowing container with the following statement:
“This is a picture of one of the waste collection points. We remind you that it is forbidden to leave rubbish outside the containers. In Teulada Moraira we offer a rubbish collection service of this type at home with Teumo Serveis: 965 744 800 / 616 240 887.
“From the Teulada Town Council we appeal to civic-mindedness and ask all citizens to be aware and responsible with recycling. We must avoid generating unpleasant situations like this in the municipality, as it is something that harms us all.”
