Welcome to the Games

THE torch of the 14th edition of the Mini Olympic Games arrived in Denia last week to announce the celebration of the sporting event.

It was carried through the streets of the town and passed from hand to hand by 18 young members of 15 different local sports clubs until arriving at the Plaça del Consell, where a manifesto was read out welcoming all sports enthusiasts to the Games that take place in Pego from tomorrow (Friday May 19) until Sunday (May 21).

The Mini Jocs Olímpics take place in a different Marina Alta town each year and gather hundreds of participants from different sports and categories from all over the district over three days of competitions, companionship and fun.
