THE Denia concert cycle Dona i música

(‘Women and music’) continues on Friday May 19 with Esther, who will present her second album, Les cartes que mai vaig cremar (‘The letters I never burned’), a pop proposal where the young singer and composer explores new sounds and reaffirms herself as one of the freshest and most current voices in Valencian pop. An album that navigates between the intimate pop of Kodaline, Juditt Neddermann or Ginesta and the fresh and magnetic energy of artists like Miley Cyrus.

The cycle closes on Friday May 26 with a music and theatre performance entitled Deixa’m dir (‘Let me say’), a show focused on

Women and music

the vindication of women in the world of music. The cast is formed by the soprano Consuelo Hueso, pianist Renata Casero and the performers of the Quintet Casulana, all under the stage direction of Alabama Laura Salido. Both concerts start at 8pm at the Teatre Auditori Centre Social in Denia (Carrer Calderón, 4).

NOW spring has come, the warm sunny morning has encouraged The Entertainers Marina Alta to practise on Jo’s pool terrace, with many of her neighbours enjoying the songs whilst having their coffee.

The Entertainers are opening their 2023 season with a bang with five charity events already programmed for June, so there will be many opportunities for you to have a fun evening out at one of their shows whilst supporting your favourite charities.
