Paella party

Desamparados parish church on the El Pla sports complex. The community showed up in force for a day of social fun and games as well as enjoying a giant paella dish. Attendees were treated to portions of the paella with a drink for the price of €4, some of which went to charity. The fun day also included workshops and contests be ­ fore a religious procession at 8pm.

Caritas is a global Catholic association, made up of lots of smaller organisations which work to provide poverty relief and fight social injustice. The organisation operates on principles of solidarity, subsidiarity, and respect for human dignity, aiming to create a more fair and compassionate society.
