AUTHORITIES are urging motorists and pedestrians to take more care in Torrevieja after two women were knocked over in under 48 hours over the weekend. Both women were rushed to hospital where they were treated for their injuries.

ORIHUELA celebrated World Fairtrade Day on Friday, May 12 with a bumper fun day including a manifesto reading and various activities.

The event, organised by the local Fairtrade group, aimed to raise awareness about the abusive working conditions, child exploitation, and deforestation involved in the manufacture of everyday products like coffee, cocoa, sugar, tea, and clothing, and how the community can avoid being complicit in this injustice.
