ORIHUELA is preparing to celebrate the International Day of Museums with a unique cultural day. The city’s Museum of Holy Art is holding a day packed full of exciting activities for visitors of all ages today, Thursday, May 18. With the theme of ‘Museums, sustainability, and wellbeing’, this year’s celebration aims to showcase the significance of museums in our society and the knowledge they offer.
The doors of the museum will be open to the public, free of charge, from 10am to 2pm, and from 4pm to 8.30pm on the day.
The museum’s temporary exhibitions, ‘Vicente López. The Court and Orihuela’ at the Real Monastery of the Visitación de las Reales Salesas de Orihuela, ‘La Mirada de la Mano’ in the Renaissance Art Room, and ‘Templos de Sabiduría. The Library of Ancient Background of the Seminary of Orihuela’ at the Museum of Holy Art, will all be available for visitors to explore. The museum will also put on several educational workshops for children, including storytelling, puzzles, and guessing games. Guided tours of the museum will also be offered .
