Local Champ Officially open

THE bridge that connects Calle Galan in Roquetas de Mar is now officially open for road traffic to facilitate the entry and exit of Aguadulce.

The mayor of Roquetas de Mar, Gabriel Amat, made a technical visit on Saturday, May 20, to verify the construction work on the Aguadulce bridge whose degree of execution of the works allows its opening to road traffic.

Amat highlighted the importance of this infrastructure that crosses the Rambla de San Antonio facilitating access to Aguadulce from the A7, and the entrance to this urban centre through Calle Galan.

The mayor explained: “The commissioning of this bridge will allow solving the existing access problem in the northeast area of Aguadulce from the A7.”

He added: “The bridge, which is 17 metres long and 12 metres wide, will decongest more than 50 per cent of the traffic registered in this area."
