Best in history

ALMERIA is delighted to confirm that it experienced its best quarter in history for exports.

Almeria is the third province with the highest increase and the third highest foreign turnover in terms of exports in the first quarter of 2023, with €2,017 million.

This is the highest figure ever achieved in a first quarter by the province, representing 19.4 per cent of Andalucia and a year­on­year growth of 8.2 per cent.

The Andalucian agri­food complex continues to demonstrate its competitiveness in the world with vegetables being Andalucia’s largest exporter in the first quarter of the year, with 16.6 per cent of the total, representing €1,721 million, and also the fastest growing of the agri ­ food chapters in the Top 10, up 9.5 per cent.

It is accompanied by olive oil, the first product exported by Andalucia, with €672 million, 6.5 per cent of the total, which is growing by 3.8 per cent. This forms part of the chapter of vegetable fats and oils, fourth in sales, which reaches €804 million, with an increase of 4.6 per cent.
