WALKING FOOTBALL. FORMENTERA ANNUAL INVITATION TOURNAMENT

WITH the Costa del Sol Walking Football League coming to a close, Formentera WFC host their annual tournament this weekend with local teams Pinoso, Hondon Valley Flyers joining visitors Morecambe (England), Walking Lions (Bilbao, Basque Country) and the Walking Nomads (Scotland/England) taking part.

The event commences today, Thursday May 25 when a pre tournament social get together will take place in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Formentera.

The tournament with a Round Robin format gets under way on Friday May 26, kick off 9.30am at the local sports ground.

HARLEY-DAVIDSON is not just about riding a legendary motorbike, it is a way of being that permeated Almeria as it hosted the annual Harley Davidson Club España rally.

“More than 400 bikers took part which translates into more than 1,000 people who have stayed in the hotels of El Toyo, consumed in bars and restaurants in the city, and have bought in local shops,” said the councillor for Culture, Diego Cruz.

Fans from all over Spain gathered in Almeria from May 11 until May 14 and the ny club sponsors Rumours Bar will host a BBQ for teams and their supporters.

Saturday May 27 sees Rumours Bar act as hosts once again providing a BBQ with live entertainment for teams and their supporters before they depart on their different ways.
