Festival finale

THE ‘Marbella Todo Danza Festival’ is heading towards its thrilling finale this week with the captivating show ‘Mariana’ by Luz Arcas, followed by the grand finale led by Eva Yerbabuena.

The first performance will take place on Thursday, May 25, at 8pm at the Ciudad de Marbella Theatre, featuring the founder of La Phármaco dance company and winner of the 2015 El Ojo Crítico de Danza award and the 2015 Lorca Award for Best Female Performer.

The performance features passionate singing and dancing, reminiscent of heartfelt flamenco songs. The dance routine comes from the soul of performers, with strength and vulnerability, in a dance that is as abstract and symbolic but also visually appealing.

On Saturday, May 27, at 8pm, the festival will conclude with Eva Yerbabuena’s extraordinary performance at the Marbella Municipal Theatre. Eva, an acclaimed dancer honoured with numerous awards, will be accompanied by Paco Jarana on guitar. Her flamenco choreography will take the audience on a journey through time as she reflects, studies, and seeks harmony between past experiences and present emotions.

The festival’s finale is bound to be packed full of passion and talent.

CALLING all shopping lovers! Fuengirola is bringing back its ultimate retail extravaganza with the shopping campaign ‘En Primavera tus compras en Fuengirola tienen premio’.

The shopping campaign continues to attract both local residents and visitors with the chance to bag one of four sensational allinclusive weekend getaways for two to various breathtaking national destinations. The campaign is now underway and lasts until Thursday, June 15.

Francisco Javier García Lara, the councillor for Business, is looking to give local businesses a resounding boost with the initiatives. “We want our local shops and boutiques to attract more business,” he explained.

Retail rewards

García Lara added that authorities have cut back on red tape, making the competition as easy as possible for shoppers to take part in, which has also been popular with local businesses who are expecting more shoppers.

To take part, shoppers need to snap a selfie of your shopping receipts when spending more than €20 and send it along with contact details (name, address, and phone number) to primavera@fuengiro la.org. Alternatively, drop by the council’s Department for Business and Commerce where you can submit your receipt in person.
