OAK Firehouse & Cocktail, the latest addition to Marbella’s culinary landscape, is attracting lots of attention thanks to its unique dining concept.

Inaugural Nordic Fair

AUTHORITIES in Fuengirola have excitedly announced the launch of the inaugural Hispanic­Nordic Trade Fair, scheduled to take place from Tuesday, March 5 to Sunday, March 10 2024, at the town’s Palacio de la Paz.

This event is the first of its kind and aims to boost business ties with Nordic and Scandinavian countries while recognising their significant contributions to Fuengirola’s tourism and economic development.

The local councillor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, alongside Michael Emdenborg, President of the Hispanic­Nordic Association of the Costa del Sol, and Rafael Ábalos, a local business advocate, presented the project details at a press conference on Monday, June 5.

The Hispanic­Nordic Trade Fair, known as ‘Spain Nordicum’, is also more than just a platform for businesses. It will combine a diverse range of cultural activities, gastronomy showcases, and sports activities, serving as a bridge between Nordic and Spanish cultures.

The fair will also highlight and celebrate the impact the Nordic community has had upon the town.

The trade fair is also set to attract tourists from various Nordic countries, building the town’s reputation as an excellent destination for investment, relocation and holidays.

The reopening night was nothing short of spectacular, with a full house of diners and an incredible lineup of entertainment including saxophone melodies by Joe West and beautiful performances by Nikki and Paul Maxwel.

The menu features ethically sourced meats, carefully selected for their quality and flavour, and cooked to perfection on an aged oak covered grill. This unique cooking method infuses the dishes with a subtle smoky taste that enhances the natural flavours.

To complement the culinary offerings, the restaurant boasts an extensive drinks menu. Guests can choose from a selection of premium wines and handcrafted cocktails, and enjoy them in the comfortable cocktail lounge.
