In Memoriam

FEISTY and forthright, Anna Tekenbroek died suddenly but peacefully, aged 90, on June 3 at the Quiron Hospital in Marbella aged 90.

She was an active supporter of all four branches of The Arts Society (formerly NADFAS) for many years, and a founder member of those in San Roque (de la Frontera) and Benahavis.

A keen sailor and a formidable hockey player in her youth, she played golf until recently and always kept her membership of the Guadalmina Golf Club uptodate.

Like many other Dutch people, she was multilingual as well as multicultural. And friends say she was kind, generous and warmhearted under a sometimes slightly daunting exterior.

She leaves a son and daughter behind and she will be cremated at the Marbella crematorium at 11am on Friday June 16.
