FUENGIROLA will showcase its sporting credentials once again this weekend as the town hosts the National Spanish Artistic Skating Championship, ‘Solo Danza’. The contest, which is in its 10th year, will be held in the

Juan Gómez Juanito Sports Centre.
More than 100 talented athletes from across the nation will vie for the coveted national title in a range of categories and competitions that will take place each day from today, Thursday, June 29 until Saturday, July 1. Councillors announced the details for the competition during a tour of the venue with competition organisers. During the meeting, organisers explained that the venue was ready to welcome skaters from 15 autonomous communities.
Julio Rodríguez, the councillor for Sports, encouraged locals and visitors to join in the action “We want the stands to be packed, allowing everyone to witness these spectacular artistic skating performances.”
Rodríguez also praised the local club, El Tejar Skating Club, praising their coaches for nurturing talents and preparing Fuengirola athletes for success on the national stage.
